The first ever-Indian Grand Prix will happen in “Greater Noida”, a city in Uttar Pradesh. It will be held in “Budhh International Circuit.” The race will start on 30th of October and all renowned names will be participating in this race. This is the 17th race of F1 racing season. Racetrack for hosting this race was inaugurated in September 2011. This is a debut race, which is about to happen in India, and everybody in India is just crazy about it.
Plans of hosting Indian Grand Prix were a dream, which was seen in the year 1997. However, due to lack of racetracks this dream was not fulfilled. India has only two proper racetracks, one is in Chennai and other is in Coimbatore. Place in Bangalore near airport was also seen for F1 racetrack. Prime Minister of Andhra Pradesh reserved site for F1 races near airport of Hyderabad. Chief Minister of Hyderabad also stated that Hyderabad was working hard on getting a good F1 racetrack so that India can host these super fast F1 races. In the year 2003, a pact was signed that F1 race will be held in Hyderabad in the year 2007. A track was built on outskirts of Hyderabad. Then in the race of hoisting F1 race, Mumbai came into competition with Hyderabad. Now Mumbai wanted to host most prestigious race of all times in city of Mumbai. Chief Head of F1, wanted to have these races within three years of time. However, due to many legislative problems F1 race was hosted by neither Hyderabad nor Mumbai. These projects came to an abrupt end in the year 2004. Government of Mumbai stated in their statement that there were critical issues to handle other than hosting F1 races. Place where F1 track was supposed to be built in Hyderabad was turned into a government IT Hub. Mumbai still hoped for the best and sites were still looked for conducting these races. Narain Karthikeyan performed in a F1 race at Mumbai, but later on he gave the statement that roads on which he drove were jarring.
